My students need a new copier and printer to be able to display their work. Students work hard and with the lack of funding in school, their ideas stay on the computer and cannot be displayed.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Hess's classroom raised $413

My Students
I teach 6th grade Mathematics and Science at a low income city school. We are a Title 1 school and the students receive a free breakfast and lunch daily. Many of our students are economically disadvantaged and are raised by extended family. My students come to school each day eager to learn and I am eager to teach. Since I teach in a city school where budgets and funding are extremely tight and I try to give my students everything they need to succeed. Education changes from year to year and I want to students to be able to keep up with the rigor that they deserve.
My Project
My students use laptops in school to produce amazing work, however, their work isn't always seen since we have limited resources for printing. Many times students submit a project online and unless we share with the projector, other students cannot enjoy what we are learning.
Also, my students need a printer to print out resources to help them at home when the technology is not available.
Students are always in need of extra support. We do not have the capabilities to print what is needed in school to assist students to get them to reach a higher level of thinking. By having a printer, we will be able to assist students in their area of study that they are struggling in.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
