My students need Gel Plates, brayers and paints to experience monoprinting without a press!

My Students

We have an amazingly diverse student body at our middle school. Our students love to come to school every day and for many of them, look back onto their middle school years as their favorite academic school years. Some common characteristics among our students include an appreciation for cultural diversity, an understanding of shared leadership, tech savviness, creative problem solving and global thinking.

Our students work hard every day and give up their spare time to give back to their local and global community through organizations like Project Linus, Operation Gratitude, and Students Rebuild.

Our students also demonstrate school pride through their involvement with extracurricular activities including sports teams and after-school clubs like Magazine Club, Math Club, and Engineering Club.

My students work very hard at school every day and look forward to their creative release once they step into the "Expressions" classroom. My students attend "Expressions" every day and connect with their inner artist through the creative process! I hope to provide a well structured and organized classroom in order to continue to challenge and engage their creative spirit!

My Project

I cannot wait for the creativity to explode when my students create beautiful multi-layered monoprints! Using reusable Gel Plates, rich colors of Apple Barrel acrylic paint, and the ease of a Speedball Deluxe Soft Rubber Brayer- my students will fall in love with the art of monoprinting!

Gel Plates make the monoprinting process simple for students to achieve all levels of complexity with their prints.

Students will be able to explore with colors, textures, and layers to create a design with more depth. Designs can be used by themselves or developed even further with multi media, allowing students with more opportunity to experiment!

I believe that creativity is ignited when students have open ended opportunities to explore and experiment with art!
