My Project
I would like to have a set of gelli printing plates, stencils, and printing supplies so all students in my art classes can learn printmaking techniques. This is a project that students of all levels can participate in and enjoy. These techniques will help with understanding of design principles, composition, and critical thinking.
My students are most excited and engaged in class when they are able to use tools and create art that is unique.
Printmaking is fun, allows students to make multiple pieces of art, and gives students the chance to express their creativity and experiment with various compositions. These gelli plates can be used with all classes and for many projects. Over the last 7 years, the art classes have doubled in size (from 4 to 8). We want to continue to grow a strong arts program.
We are asking for enough gelli plates for every student in class to print at the same time (30), printing inks, stencils, brayers and ink plates.
