My students need a printer, paper and ink for individualized math, spelling and reading work. Technology helps teachers to use less paper but when push comes to shove students do need to work.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Have you ever tried having students work on an assignment from the projector and transfer it to their paper. It can workout but it is not very efficient. Some of my students can handle it but most 3rd graders struggle. A high yield printer will help fix this tremendously.
Our school district is one of the more poverty stricken school districts in the state of Idaho.
We recently have had budget cuts and one of the cuts was a majority of the money for printing capabilities. My school has a free and reduced population of 91%, for some of these students school is there most consistent positive environment that they can rely on.
My Project
We're asking for a high yield printer, print cartridges and some paper.
When students in the third grade are asked to transfer their problems from the board to their paper they lose quality time that could be spent in other areas in class. Having a printer will help make the teacher more efficient and the students more efficient which in turn will lead to a more in depth coverage of the concepts given.
Each lesson our math has various concepts and approaches to solving different types of problems. Each method's amount of time to teach it varies on each group and each day. A printer will help compliment this because it will allow flexibility in making different assignments that will help to adjust to the various needs of each individual group.
Spelling is a struggle because a few of the students are having a hard time copying their words down in their journals. Having the capability to print will assure the correct words that are spelled correctly will get home.
This is an extremely important part of the school that our national educational budgets has effected.
With the implementation of Common Core Standards teachers are expected to cover more with less, please help provide the students/teacher a means to a solution for a small problem in education today. Thanks for your time and consideration.
