This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are creative, determined, and full of curiosity. They come from diverse backgrounds and bring unique perspectives to our classroom, which makes their ideas and projects especially inspiring. What they need are the tools to turn those ideas into something real.

A 3D printer will give my students the power to transform their designs into hands-on creations.

With this technology, they will be able to build models of the solar system to understand moon phases and eclipses, design and test rollercoaster parts for a working Rube Goldberg machine, and explore the engineering design process through Tinkercad. Instead of just imagining or drawing their ideas, they will hold them, test them, and improve them—just like real engineers and scientists.

My goal for this project is to prepare students for the future by helping them see themselves as problem-solvers, innovators, and creators. These resources will open doors to STEM opportunities that many of my students might not otherwise have access to. Every time they design, print, and test a project, they’ll gain not only knowledge and skills but also confidence in their ability to shape the world around them.
