This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students at my school are well-behaved, ambitious, and willing to improve their language skills.

Many students' intention on the first day is to come to school to learn and to evolve their learning processes and understanding. In March, I transitioned the class to a virtual classroom environment by doing screencasts, Google Classrooms and Zoom calls.

My school likes to think of itself as a progressive school; however, the lack of technology within its walls contradicts this idea. Money is very tight at the moment. Technology allows the teacher to have the capability to analyze and track students' weaknesses. Unfortunately, the technology the district provided us for distance learning school does not meet the demands of our students' needs in distance learning.

My Project

We love showcasing student and teacher projects on our many hallway bulletin boards, in the media center, in showcases, and on classroom doors.

With a cost-effective printer, teachers will have access to a resource that will help improve our school climate, showcase the achievements of our wonderful students, and much more!

Additionally, the ability to print large quantities of color documents will allow us to produce, distribute, and display high quality professional development resources, particularly technology troubleshooting and training guides for teachers and helpful guides to accompany the various technology resources. The Apple pencil will allow me to correct their work on my iPad before we proceed to print it.

Having extra toner for our new printer will allow us to print throughout this year and next before we need to worry about any replacement materials.
