Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our fast paced kindergarten class, we try to mesh learning standards with student interests. Sometimes our students come up with a creative way to demonstrate learning through drawing or crafts so instead of waiting for our prep period in which we could go to the copy room, why not have a printer in our classroom that will help us cut wait time and quickly print out outlines or supporting crafts while our ideas are fresh in our minds!
At times, color copies are essential in teaching english language learners as they need to see a vocabulary word or an example as it is found in the real world instead of hand drawing something that may look odd to a student who is starting to learn a second language.
The cardstock paper in various colors will be used to print teaching material that can be laminated to make it everlasting and also be used in holiday or special events crafts.
More than half of students from low‑income households
