it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are hard-working elementary school students in Echo Park with a strong curiosity and desire to learn! Many of the students I work with are English Learners, and they benefit from direct language instruction as well as differentiated, individualized instruction. The preschool, kindergarten, first graders, and second graders love to use literacy stations for language development. We are a Title 1 school with grades from preschool to 5th grade!
All of my students love to show off their reading skill improvement!
Many students are struggling with early phonemic awareness and phonics skills. When we have the right tools and materials, we can learn anything together!
My Project
The printer and ink supplies will have a special home in our teacher supply room, but we need your help getting through the door! My students need individualized reading, speaking, and listening practice! We use materials that are designed specifically for them-- however, most materials are only accessible online. We don't have easy access to printers at our school, but that is about to change!
Students will be able to get prescriptive sight-word lists, interactive literacy materials, and art materials after we install our new printer!
I work with teachers that will benefit from this printer, which is why we need ink refills for the next few years of students.
