I teach a talented and gifted group of 5th - 8th graders at Camanche Middle School. A 3-D printer will help them expand their creative mindset and think outside the box while making innovative creations that help them learn and build. They had a brief experience with a 3-D printer at our elementary and they wanted to have one here to learn to create bigger things, not just what the teacher required them to do. They also want to have more of the filament so they can create more projects.
