This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our bustling K and 3rd-grade classrooms, creativity is always in bloom! Our young learners are constantly engaged in exciting digital activities, from drawing vibrant pictures and writing imaginative stories to designing simple games and completing interactive projects online. These digital tools empower them to express themselves and develop essential technology skills. However, a crucial piece of the puzzle is often missing: the ability to transform their digital creations into tangible realities through printing.

While our students enthusiastically embrace digital creation, the lack of consistent access to a classroom printer means their wonderful work often remains confined to the screen.

Imagine the pride a kindergartener would feel holding a printed version of their very first digital drawing, or the sense of accomplishment a 3rd grader would experience sharing a printed copy of their online story with their family. Providing a classroom printer will allow us to celebrate their efforts in a more meaningful and lasting way.

What We Need:

To fully support our students' creative endeavors and provide them with tangible outcomes from their digital work, we are requesting a reliable and user-friendly printer for our classrooms. This printer will enable us to:

Make learning tangible: Allow students to print their digital artwork, stories, reports, and project designs, fostering a stronger connection to their creations.

Boost pride and motivation: Provide students with physical copies of their work to share, display, and feel a sense of accomplishment.

Enhance classroom sharing: Enable students to easily share their printed creations with classmates during show-and-tell or collaborative activities.

Support fine motor skills: Offer opportunities for students to further engage with their printed work through coloring, cutting, and other hands-on activities.
