Help me give my students have the necessary supplies for their learning. A printer is essential in providing flexible, timely, personalized learning for my students. Pencils are a necessary learning tool that students often do not bring.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach diverse, wonderful students in kindergarten through 8th grade who are learning English. Many of the students are new to the country and are adapting to a new environment while learning a new language. Despite their unique challenges, they are eager to learn, grow and connect with their peers and teachers. My classroom is a safe, welcoming, encouraging space where they can build their confidence and new language learning flourish. I am requesting a reliable printer with ink to better serve my students. Having our own printer means that I can quickly provide individualized learning materials such as vocabulary cards, visual aids, writing supports, and reading activities. Currently I rely on a limited access shared school printer, which delays my flexibility and ability to be in the moment with student needs. A printer will allow for greater creativity and will allow students to feel more supported in their learning journey. The pencils are a necessary supply that students do not come to school with daily. It is a continuous resource that I provide but I would love support in giving my students.
