Help me give my students a color printer to help them with drawing, and observational skills. A printer gives immediate access to physical pictures with the intended color and design that a virtual picture cannot always give.
My students area diverse group of economically challenged learners, who find joy in the simplest of things. They love to see and use new art/school supplies, especially when it is their very own.
My students have a love of creating and experimenting with new tools, supplies, and ideas in the Art room.
It is a place where their unique voice comes through, with no prejudices or limitations.
My Project
The printer seems like an obvious school supply, but not all students have access to it. In the Art room a color printer would give students the ability to find images and pictures to make and create assignments with photography, color theory, as well as others.
The printer will give students immediate access to imagery that they can then work on projects from in class, with a group or on their own at home.
It allows them to use those images as works of art to get inspired from, photographs to enhance drawing skills, or references for Art History.
