Calling all writers! We are writing, writing, and writing! Writer's Workshop is a bustling time in our room, with students, exploring ideas, writing drafts, and revising and editing each others' work!
They are part of a small school of only 250 students, a rarity nowadays.
Many receive free or reduced priced lunches based on their families' incomes and our school is constantly making sure they have what they need in order to succeed in life! We just received the California Distinguished Award and the Title I Academic Award which demonstrates how hard we all work and how much we all care about education.
My Project
My students will be using the printer to print, publish, and share their writing. They are writing books and small essays and learning how to import pictures and art from the internet. They are learning how to type and create slide shows. All of their work seems trapped inside a laptop in the cloud. They would love to be able to print out their drawings that they create online as well as the ones that they scan. They would love to hold their work in their hands. The grammar book would be used to help me teach them how to write properly and the plastic container would store their writing supplies.
The printer will allow my students to print out work that they have typed into the computers.
They will be able to have colorful illustrations and an opportunity to hold their work in their hands. They will be taught proper grammar so that their writing is clear, and have a place to store their needed supplies so that they are readily available.
