My Project
I teach a one high school art class per semester, and would love to give my students the experience of gel monoprinting. This medium has gained a lot of popularity in recent years, affording artists an array of techniques to express themselves.
I would like my students' first experience with printmaking to be exciting, flexible and fun.
In my life outside the classroom I do a lot of relief printmaking using wood and linoleum blocks, but bringing this to students has its challenges. Gel printing would be a great intro to printmaking for all students.
The reusable printing plates will benefit future students as well.
