This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Banging on your printer with your fists does not always make old technology work. Our out-of-date classroom printer is on its last life line.
My students come from low-income families and live in high crime neighborhoods.
They come with emotional needs and limited access to technology. Their current school is a focus school with much needed funds. This makes it difficult for our students to be aware of new and upcoming technology.
My Project
This resource will add to my students technology-awareness because it will allow them to have access to their printed material immediately. It has been difficult to share an old out-of-date printer with 20 students. Access to a wireless printer will motivate them to write their stories and essays because they will have access to a hard copy in seconds. They in turn can edit and reprint if needed. My students will be motivated to apply the writing process and publishing would be easier.
This project is important to my classroom because it will bring our classroom with an up-to-date printer.
My students will have immediate access to the their published materials once it is printed. No more sore fists.
