This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Bring color into our class! Our new MacBooks have created a new learning vibe in our classroom. Students are learning to create projects with Comic Life, Pages, and Keynote. However, we are missing a key component to our technology piece, color printers and ink to bring their work to life!
Our school is a public preK-5th grade elementary school.
The majority of the students qualify for free or reduced lunch program. 99 percent of the population are English language learners. Despite the challenges they face, these students continue to perform above students from neighboring schools with similar demographics.
My Project
With colorful images, students' hard work will be celebrated by showcasing their writing pieces and other technology projects. The students will be able to use their creativity and be inspired to enhance the projects that they are motivated to do through technology. The students will learn to manipulate computer applications to include graphics in color that will bring their technology pieces to life. They will also learn to publish in a professional manner that reflects what they see in the media, books, and other literary publication.
The donations will enhance our technology and literacy program.
It will bring to life creativity, motivation, and pride to our students as they create projects that will prepare them for more advanced curriculum projects in the grades to follow. Overall, this project will impact student motivation and thus, increase their writing skills and technology exposure.
