My Project
As a teacher one of the most exciting thing I can witness is the pride on my students' faces when they present a project they've created. With the iPads , my students are able to work on projects anywhere. Now they need a printer so they can publish those projects.
My 2nd grade students are excited and eager to learn and share what they learn with others.
Unfortunately, many of the resources that would make that learning and sharing dynamic and extra motivational are unavailable to them. We are a medium sized, urban, public school in California. Our students are the children of hard working parents who are struggling just to make ends meet. There is no money for the latest technology at home or at school. My students deserve the same chances and resources as students from more privileged backgrounds.
While my class is lucky enough to have 16 iPads, we are limited in our ability to make the most of it. The students are excited and inspired by the iPads and they are eager to use them for reports and projects, but we have no way of printing or publishing their work. With this color printer my students will be able to share their research projects with their classmates. They will be able to take pictures with the iPad and send them directly to the printer.
