Printing In Color!

My students need a color printer and ink to print out design projects that they have created in our computer lab.

My Students

My students create beautiful projects in our computer lab that look fantastic on the computer but terrible when printed. Students are anxious to print out their work and proudly display it around the school. Currently we only have a black and white printer in our school.

Our students come from low-income high need communities.

We are a title one school with students full of creative energy! The majority of our students do not have the advantages that most students of the same age have. At school we try to provide them with as many opportunities that we can for them to be competitive with students from other districts as well as prepare them for the real world.

My Project

Our students have tons of energy and design wonderful projects in our computer lab. They are anxious to show off their work throughout the school but we can not print in color. This significantly limits the quality of their projects and is discouraging to the students. Some students do not put a lot of effort into the project because they know that it is only going to be printed in black and white. With a color printer the students would have the ability to print out projects that they can proudly display throughout the school and community.

This printer will make a huge difference in our students project quality and encourage students to put more effort into their projects.

Printing an exact replication of the project is the final step in our design process and the students are currently unable to do so. This is the same process used in real world and we are currently attempting to make those connections to make learning more valuable.
