My class uses a program called Unique Learning Systems. My students are children with severe special needs including physical, mental, and emotional disabilities that make it difficult for them to access and learn from the general educational program. They need a specialized program made to fit their individual needs. This is where Unique comes in. With this program, there are tons of activities that need to be printed in color so that students can successfully access the educational pieces. Printing in color is essential to that as much of the curriculum is accessible books and worksheets that meet the individual needs of the children. This means a lot of printing.
Printing in color takes a lot of resources, but the Epson Ecotank cuts those needs down drastically.
This makes it cheaper for the school, but still provides an amazing amount of clarity. At this time, I and the other two teachers on my team are spending many hours and dollars a week printing from home to make sure our students get what they need. Together we service nearly 100 students in total: 12 in my life skills class, 7 in our ECSE class, and 75 in our resource classroom.
This printer would benefit all of the children grades PK-5th in our special needs program. Please consider helping out our students and teachers. They deserve the best education possible and this printer will help us achieve that.
