This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project promotes mental health awareness by combining design, laser cutting and screen printing to create custom t-shirts with uplifting messages. The project encourages creativity, engineering skills, and a focus on mental well-being.
Students will learn the technical aspects of screen printing while exploring how positive messaging and wearable art can contribute to mental health advocacy.
Using the xTool screen printer and other materials, students will gain hands-on experience that combines art, creativity, and engineering. These tools will help them turn their ideas into real designs, allowing them to explore new skills while focusing on important topics like mental health.
My students are special because they are resilient and eager to express themselves. Many of them face challenges every day, and this project gives them a way to use their creativity to support mental health awareness. The materials we’re asking for will give them the chance to create something meaningful, encouraging both themselves and others to focus on self-care and emotional well-being.
