This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a gifted teacher, instructional coach, club teacher, a wearer of many hats! We service over 550 amazing students, 50 of those who qualify for social and emotional services through their identification of gifted, sped, autistic, ED, etc. Academics are such a big focus in school, but here at our school, we know how much the "Whole Child" matters! We want to teach our kiddos social skills. You can help!
My Project
Students are going to be eventually taking jobs in a 21st century workplace, with high end technology, innovative careers and solutions to current and future world problems, all while trying to be more creative and solutions driven than ever before.
Things like 3D printers are so foreign to our students, yet this technology is not advanced any more, and they need access to be successful in our fast paced world.
With the 3D printer pens, we will focus on the foundations of 3D printing, by first focusing on creating a sustainable and future city focused on a circular waste free economy! The filament will be turned into innovative solutions for a city system, supporting bio-diversity, recycling, and zero waste initiatives. They'll be learning so much more than the technology itself, but how to use it to solve real world issues!
