This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
First and third grade is teaming up! Our dual language students are very bright and outspoken! They strive to work hard every day in both English and Spanish instruction and come from very diverse cultural backgrounds. We love watching them grow into such great independent young learners.
Our students are adventurous learners and love to have fun in their colorful classrooms!
We try to meet our students where they are and take them as far as they can go with what we have available. Help us reach our goal today.
My Project
Wassily Kandinsky once said “color is a power which directly influences the soul.” A new color printer will open up new doors in our classroom and help students become powerfully engaged in their learning. As dual language teachers, we need to be able to differentiate between Spanish (red) and English (blue) for our students.
A new color printer in our classroom will not only help us distinguish the language of the day, but will also allow us to get the better quality prints we need in color and in a matter of minutes.
It will help us, as teachers, fearlessly implement more project-based learning across all subjects like math, science, and social studies, which can be more research and printing demanding for students. It will help our little ones in first grade get the visuals they developmentally require for everyday tasks and routines. We are teaming up for this project to benefit even more students with similar printer needs.
