Printer for the Classroom

My students need a classroom printer so that they can print their work. In order to enhance our students learning experiences, we need to effectively use technology.

My Students

There are so many benefits to using technology in the classroom. I am a HUGE fan of technology and love incorporating it into my lessons as much as I can. There are new curriculum that we are using this year that have many technological components. A printer would allow us to use all of them.

Last year I had 32 students in my class.

This year, I'm sure it will be close to the same amount. I teach in an ICT classroom, so general education and special education students are in my class. I'm the special education teacher, but my co-teacher and I do not separate our roles. I love all of my students equally and strive to provide them with the best education possible. Being in a classroom with 32 students means you have to know each one of your students needs so well so that you can differentiate instruction and provide them with learning opportunities that fit their individual needs. I try my best to do that every day. Every child learns differently. As a teacher, having the resources in the classroom to help better instruction, makes a huge difference.

My Project

My classroom really needs a printer. Technology is a great way to differentiate instruction, enhance instruction, and track students' learning needs and goals; among other things! There are so many endless benefits to using technology. In order to get my kids college and career ready I try to use technology as much as I can in my lessons. The new curriculum we are using for reading and math this year has many great technological components. For example, the math program has an assessment report. Students are able to take an assessment created by the teacher on the computer. Then, the program generates a report that gives the teacher a diagnostic report of what that specific student needs and further instruction the teacher can provide. A printer would allow us to print these reports so that we can use this data effectively and efficiently to help our students achieve academic success.

Please help us get this printer for our classroom!

In a classroom of 32 students having a printer can make a huge difference! Something as little as printing the homework for a student that is out of the classroom makes a difference! A printer will allow us to use all of these great technology tools to better our instruction and provide our students with the BEST education possible!
