Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is located near one of the largest and busiest shipping ports in the world. The student population at our school is very diverse. Nearly all of the students receive free or reduced lunch. My students are part of a close knit community in a big city with a small town vibe. My students are very proud of our school and the community they live in.
My students are very curious and eager learners!
They come to school every day prepared to learn and full of enthusiasm. They love learning new things!
My Project
The donation of the printer and colored paper will allow my students to turn their writing into published pieces. Our current printer has gone through many classes and we are in need a new one. My students spend a few weeks planning, drafting, revising, and editing their writing. At the end, the students publish their writing on a Chromebook and send it to print. The printer and colored paper will allow my students to become published authors. They will hang their work proudly in our classroom and share it with their classmates.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
