Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have 31 diverse students in a Title I school. The school seems to have a tight budget, so my requests for some of the initial supplies cannot be granted. Since I'm in charge of a combination class that consists of both 4th graders and 5th graders, the need for support is even higher. Based on data from last year, most of the students have performed below grade level in math and ELA. I need to make a meaningful change in this community.
My Project
I have two groups of students in my classroom: 4th graders and 5th graders. The state test scores from last year show the severe need for robust educational support for the students. The first step is being able to print out worksheets and projects for the students. Even though I try to do most of the work digitally, there are some projects that need to be printed out. The school does not provide printers for the teachers. I am new to this school and I am dedicated to making a difference in my students' educational life. I need your support by donating towards the requested printer and ink!
