My Students
My students are 5th graders who come to school each day eager to learn! Our school serves students in grades Pre K-5 and provides rigorous academics, loving teachers, and a safe learning environment. Most students in my class of 28 students come from low-socioeconomic neighborhoods. I teach in an ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) classroom. Many of the students I work with have an individualized education plan (IEP) and are significantly below grade level. My students are hard-working, respectful and determined. They deserve the world!
My Project
My amazing students are in need of a printer and various types of paper. Since my students have such diverse needs, differentiated instruction is vital to their progress and success in the 5th grade. Printing various levels of reading material, graphic organizers and research articles are just a few of the many ways that my students will put a printer to good use. My students are creative and also need color paper for projects. They enjoy research projects, group projects and creating posters to share their learning with their peers. A printer and colorful paper would help them accomplish this immensely!
