My Students
My students are a great group of students who are filled with a lot of energy. My students are a mixture of Brooklyn natives and recent immigrants to the country. I am fortunate to teach at a small school and I am able to teach students that are in all grades 9-12 along with students that are diverse in their needs. My students are students that are classified as general education, students will special needs as well as English language learners.
My Project
Remote learning was a learning curve for both teachers and students alike. One thing I realized was that while technology is a beautiful thing it can't always be guaranteed. Many of my special needs students faced difficulties throughout remote learning for various reasons. Some struggled to work with the technology at hand, some had issues navigating various platforms while some dealt with spotty internet issues. This year I know as a teacher it is my job to hope for the best and plan for the worst. This is why I need a high quality and high output printer to allow me to print off hard copies of student work to be able to send packets of work home for special needs students who are having difficulty completing work through technology platforms. This printer and ink will ensure that my students have equity in the classroom and are able to receive the best education as possible during difficult times.
