This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
We are a wonderful and vibrant 6th-8th grade art class in the heart of a high poverty area. We pride our selves in producing high standard work; yet, we need additional supplies. My students love art supplies that aid in self-expression, but it is difficult to obtain them. Please help them open a world of possibilities through these supplies. These students are incredibly hard workers and top performers in the area. They are captivated by technology and real-world applications through literacy and visual arts.
Although we are a phenomenal school, it is incredibly hard to keep up with the individual supply needs of every student.
Therefore, we attempt to create a sense of continuity by sharing art supplies and utilizing technology as much as possible. These students are grateful and become overwhelmed to know that outsiders are interested in meeting their needs!
My Project
Having a color printer will aid in bringing to life masterpieces that are available online. This printer would allow the students to showcase their work that they create online. Also, I can print information about artists and art in bulk and use them in small groups and for conversation starters. Having the art in front of the students would allow many to manipulate the photographs and use them in our classroom art gallery. Students will also be able to use the printer to create multimedia projects and flyers that can be used around the school. Our classroom would truly benefit from this product.
