This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach at a Title I elementary school in Arizona. Our students come from diverse economic and ethnic backgrounds. Over seventy percent of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch daily.
My school's mission focuses on academic, fitness, and personal achievements for both students and staff.
We believe all students can be successful and we try to give them every tool they need to reach their goals. Our staff teaches after school clubs throughout the year that range from art and dance to technology and math. We spend time in our classrooms, on announcements, and at assemblies celebrating the fitness and academic successes of our students and staff.
My Project
This color printer project will benefit not just my students, but my entire grade level. Our students do a lot of work in the classroom that they would like to print, take home, talk about, and share with families. This color printer project will give us that option.
We do several STEM projects throughout the year and having a color printer will give students the option to share some of their work with their families.
This will help families understand some of the work their children are doing in the classroom.
More than half of students from low‑income households
