My students need a marker board easel for writing, presentations, and displays.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. W.'s classroom raised $488
This project is fully funded
Imagine a room full of posters, charts, word banks, and students' work. I have a fourth and fifth grade combination classroom with students who are mostly English learners that receive free lunch.
With two grades in my classroom, I often need to double the posting of spelling, vocabulary, and content charts. In addition, I need room to post students' work, create word banks, and put up inspiring posters. Currently, more than half of the marker boards in my room are covered with chart paper, sentence strips, spelling, and vocabulary. The writing space is becoming less and less.
A marker board easel will provide extra writing space in the classroom. It also provides hooks to hang a flip chart for presentations and hold paper for displays and signs. This is particularly helpful when I need to review with my students on topics they learned before. Anytime my students need to refresh their memory, they can walk to the easel and flip the charts to find the reference. In addition, the portable easel is handy for small group teaching.
Creating a print rich environment is a great way to support student learning. Your help will ensure that my students have the best learning environment to achieve their goal.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
