Dr. Seuss said, "I can read in red, I can read in blue, I can read in pickle color too!" My students want to be able to do things in color as well.
My students are an eager bunch of kindergartners in a Title 1 school in Tennessee.
They love learning and coming to school. They especially enjoy our student centered classroom where they participate in creative, hands-on activities that stimulate their minds.
My Project
We are requesting a classroom printer because my students and I don't have access to a printer in our room. We use a shared printer that is in another room down the hall, and it only prints black and white. Students are much more interested when the material is bright and colorful. A color printer would allow me to print materials for my students that would be engaging as well as appealing to the eye. I want to do everything I can to keep my students motivated to learn. Being able to print in color from our classroom will help me do that.
This project will serve so many purposes.
A quality color printer will make our daily kindergarten lives more interesting. We will be able to print pictures from field trips, science experiments, fun-time Fridays and more. Curriculum and workstation activities that are printed in color will be much more appealing and engaging, thus helping my students be motivated to find academic success.
