Help me give my students printed resources by donating for the purchase of HP 61 Black/Tri-Color Ink cartridges and Thermal Laminating Pouches. This will allow me to use worksheets multiple times and greatly improve our virtual learning.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students bring their best work and effort to class every single day. Many have only been in the country for two years or less. They're already having to adjust to so many new things and now they are also starting a new school year virtually due to the pandemic.
I want their learning to be a positive experience in their life when so much around them still seems new and uncertain.
They deserve a virtual classroom environment where they feel welcome, including all the tools they need to succeed. Most of them are still learning the language so visual aides as we work are a MUST!!
My Project
This pandemic is pushing teachers to get creative and find new ways to teach and learn while distance learning occurs. These materials I'm asking for will help me provide additional resources to my students in a visual way. I'd like to be able to print worksheets/activities related to things we are learning and share them with the class using my document camera. Having laminating pouches will help this process as it will allow me to write and erase on the worksheet as needed. Therefore, the students will see the worksheet and watch as we work our way through it together. It will create an atmosphere of teamwork even if we are all in our own homes.
