My Project
My students are an awesome group of kids. They are lucky enough to have Chromebooks for their own use and much of our curriculum is on the Chromebooks. It is easy for my higher students to complete their work on their Chromebooks, but my struggling readers often have difficulty. They do better when they have a worksheet or an article on a piece of paper in front of them. They need to annotate and highlight words and main ideas as they read. It is this hands-on activity that helps them with their comprehension and vocabulary. In addition, because of the times we are in, students are no longer able to share novels or packets. I need to be able to make enough copies for everyone to have their own to work from.
I would like to be able to print out a variety of worksheets and articles for all of my struggling readers to use, and individual copies of work for all of my students.
My desktop printer works great if I only need a couple of copies but for all of my students to get copies, I would need to print a lot more than that. Frequently our school copier is broken or we are limited on the number of copies we can get.
Having a higher-quality printer would allow us to have enough copies for all students to work on and improve their skills.
