My Students

My students are funny and smart. My class is diverse, and there are many students whose first language is not English. They love exploring and being creative in their learning. Some of their favorite things to do are STEM activities and, of course, art. I have some of the most creative first graders! They also love being read to!

In addition to teaching my students the core content, I am trying to teach them that education is powerful, that it will get them anywhere they want to go, and that it will help them to change the world.

My Project

Our printer is dying, when it prints, it puts lines all over the paper. This is problematic when I try to print games and activities for small reading and math groups because sometimes it makes it hard to read instructions or important parts of the games. A new printer would provide us with better looking games that the students can enjoy playing. I hope to also use this printer to print worksheets for my students to use during our morning self-start, as well as during small group reading and math instruction.
