This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our Title I school is located in East Harlem, NYC. I teach special education to a fun group of third graders. My students' abilities range from 1st-grade reading level to 3rd.
Despite the challenges they face outside of school my students strive to do their very best.
My students motivate me to be the best teacher ever. They are very encouraging, and they bring joy to my class every day.
We have high expectations for our students; meaning we want them to leave high school fully prepared for whatever they have chosen, whether it be college, vocational, or straight into a career field.I am blessed to be able to teach a dynamic group of students!
My Project
The color printer and ink cartridges will allow my students to print their work when they are using iPads. This printer only requires me to refill once every two years! Not only is this printer economical, it is also environmentally friendly. My students enjoy using them, but they are not able to print out their work because we have a really old printer that is not compatible with the new technology.
As a Title I school, teachers often lack the necessary materials and technology in their classrooms.
The teachers at my school lack printers for their classrooms.
There are times that the school printer is down, the line is backed up and this copier would eliminate all the stress and hassle of trying to make copies. I would love having a copier in my classroom so I can print, copy and scan in a jiff!
