Print Colored Take Home Books to Reread Again and Again...
Help me give my students printed colored books so we can read together in class and then students can take home to reread and build fluency skills. Additionally, the laminator will help me create and REuse resources efficiently.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach 3rd and 4th grade multilingual learners in Connecticut of whom many come from homes where they live in poverty and do not own books. I want to get my students excited about reading because as we all know, education is the way out of poverty. Reading books in class and being able to send them home with my students to REREAD, will help my students build fluency and comprehension skills and will get and keep them excited about reading. I tell them to read every day or night for at least 20 minutes before they go to bed and to keep these books near them so they have a selection they can choose from. I tell them to read with/to their parents, siblings or even to a stuffed animal if no one else is around; just read and read some more. My multilingual students are special and deserve colored books.
