My Project

I have the privilege of teaching a group of creative, innovative, and hands-on students who are passionate about engineering, design, and problem-solving. In our classroom, we use SolidWorks, a professional 3D modeling software, to design everything from custom tools and model buildings to prototype parts.

My students need the right tools to communicate and present their ideas.

They are involved in both Technology Student Association (TSA) competitions and second-year Engineering Capstone projects, where having these right tools will give them a big advantage. Right now, we lack the ability to print our technical drawings, engineering schematics, and presentation posters in-house — especially at the larger sizes needed for competitions and showcases. Adding this printer would allow us to produce high-quality, wide-format prints of our CAD files, assembly drawings, and technical presentations, giving our projects the professional polish they deserve.

We are requesting the Epson - EcoTank ET-8550 Printer, which can handle print sizes up to 13" x 19". It’s perfect for producing detailed technical prints from SolidWorks and large-format boards for TSA competitions and our Capstone project presentations.

This equipment isn’t just for one class or event — it will become a long-lasting, valuable resource for our entire STEM and engineering program. Future TSA teams and engineering students will continue to benefit from having wide-format printing capabilities right in our classroom.

My students are eager to bring their digital designs to life, and with your support, we can make that possible. Your support will have a direct, lasting impact on our students by giving them the tools to innovate, explore, and succeed.
