This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have been working at my school for 5 years. Throughout my time here, I have worked in general education classrooms and ICT classrooms, which incorporate general education students and special education students into one classroom. Most of the students in my school come from low-income families, living in surrounding projects or shelters. Often times, my students come to school unprepared with basic materials to learn.
My goal for these students is to provide them with the necessary materials to help them get the best education they deserve!
With your donations, you will be helping my students receive the best education they can get!
My Project
This printer would be beneficial for me to print worksheets that are appropriate to my students' needs, in a quick and easy way. The three-year warranty and ink packages will guarantee that I will have a functional teaching tool for a substantial number of years. All students learn differently and it is important to meet those needs to ensure academic success.
Differentiation is the key to making sure all students' learning needs are met.
For example, if a student has mastered a specific skill, I can create a worksheet that will challenge them further on that skill. Also, if a student is struggling with a certain topic, I can develop a worksheet that is academically appropriate for their needs.
Another way I can utilize this printer is to design centers games that relate and review specific learning objectives that we have gone over throughout the week.
