FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Hester's classroom raised $365

My Students
Parent communication is an integral component of the classroom.
My students are five, six, and seven year old children that attend school in central Florida.
Our school community is made up of 87% of the children qualifying for the federal free lunch program. Many of our students come from one parent homes that are low income. My students are happy, energetic, and like to learn.
My Project
Our students will be able to print their computer creations and take them home instead of deleting them on the computer. The laser printer will allow the teachers to send home weekly newsletters, information for parents, and notices. The students will have parents that are informed and able to respond to their child's needs.
Weekly newsletters are important in a kindergarten classroom.
Parents need to know what their children are learning, homework assignments, and what activities are being planned. The students need to know that the work they do on the computer is valued and by making a copy, they can post their work in the class or take it home.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
