Primary Lined Journals for Each Student

My Project

To show progress we keep a portfolio of work. Each student needs their own writing journal to keep their weekly samples contained. At the end of the year these can be sent home as a scrapbook of their progress instead of buried in a file folder forever. These journals are perfect for our kindergarten classroom as they have primary lines (top line, dashed middle line, and solid bottom line) as well as blank space at the top to draw their picture.

When writing in their journal, students apply knowledge of letter sounds, phonological awareness, sight words, and print concepts.

Writing is the best place to show mastery through application.
