This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The WAMS Anime Club is a vibrant space where students come together to explore their passion for anime, manga, and Japanese pop culture. For many of our members, this club is a creative and social outlet that allows them to connect with others who share their interests. However, as a Title 1 school, most of our students face financial challenges, and it can be difficult to provide all the materials and resources that would make their club experience even more enjoyable.

To enhance the experience for our students, we are reaching out to donors for support.

Specifically, we are seeking donations of more manga volumes to expand our club library, giving students more diverse stories to read and discuss. Additionally, we are hoping to acquire a mini Cricut machine, which will allow us to create personalized merchandise such as stickers, keychains, and other items that students can take home as prizes for participation and achievements in the club. Along with this, we would benefit from small prizes, such as anime-related merchandise, to further engage and reward our students for their involvement.

These resources will not only enrich our students' club experience but also foster a greater sense of belonging and reward for their hard work and enthusiasm. With your help, we can provide more opportunities for creativity, community, and joy in our anime club. Any contribution, big or small, would make a significant difference in the lives of our students.
