This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Working in a Title 1 School, I see the continuous challenges these students encounter both in and outside of the classroom. Despite these challenges, my goal is to provide a safe, creative, and meaningful environment that allows them to grow at their individual pace.

With the challenges of social economics, my students continue to find ways to extend a hand and help others.

These students may not have a lot to give, but they are still very compassionate to others. This year I have been blessed with a great group of students and would love to continue to inspire them to remember the importance of always giving instead of expecting.

My Project

My fourth grade class was privileged to have a Studio Artist come into our classroom to complete an art project. The Art project turned out so well, that the students have asked if they could wrap up their Art project and give it to a family member for Mother's Day. I would greatly appreciate the help to purchase thirty individual 8 1/2 x 11 picture frames from IKEA. This would give each student an opportunity to give their family members a priceless treasure. As you may know, fourth graders do not have many opportunities for special art projects, which makes this opportunity extra special and important to share at just the right opportunity. My student's and I would greatly appreciate the support.
