Preventing Bullying Through Exposure to Disturbing Scenarios
My students need an opportunity to watch the meaningful and powerful movie, "Bully."
FULLY FUNDED! Dr. Feltman's classroom raised $1,952

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you know what it feels like to be bullied?
Students must understand that the act of bullying has powerful ramifications. They must understand the various roles in bullying.
The students are fifth through eighth graders who attend a public kindergarten through eighth grade school in New York.
They are very interested in learning. Furthermore, they are passionate about eliminating bullying and spreading their message globally.
My Project
As a result of attending the movie, "Bully", these fifth grade and middle school students will have a conceptual understanding of all the components of bullying. They will understand the severity and repercussions of bullying. The students will be better able to deal with this complex topic in positive methods.
The students were very interested in reading the New York Times review of "Bully".
I purposely went to watch the movie when the director was there for a Question and Answer following the movie. It will change their lives for the better by educating them about how to eliminate bullying.
