My Project
I teach 3-4 year olds with special needs who love to play in small spaces, they love to climb in, go behind and under places to explore. The preschool sized cottage will be a new way for my littles to learn socialization skills while I incorporate their academic goals.
Pretend play is the best and the most fun way to learn important life long social skills.
All of my kids are learning how to be social, especially sharing and taking turns.
I will set up the cottage as not just a house where they can pretend play they are in a home but also different types of stores with items they would find in stores. We could use it as a barn and fill it with animals. The possibilities with this cottage are endless. We have nothing like this in our class and I know my kids will love it.
