My Students

I am privileged to teach 50 outstanding students. My ESL and traditional students are very inquisitive, creative, and extremely clever. We are a Title I school where over two-thirds of the population receives free or reduced-price lunch. Even through adversity, these students are still resilient, excited, and enthused about learning.

Our school is very culturally diverse, extremely competitive, and we strive for excellence daily.

Willing, ready, and always trying to stand out above the rest, we need to produce competitive scholars for the future. We are shining stars and would love to shine with or above the rest.

My Project

I would like a heating press to use with our Cricuit maker for our classroom to help with financial literary projects. Students will use the machine with the Cricuit Maker to create many products. This machine will allow all students to be innovative and creative with their individualized ideas. We will design shirts, mugs, hats, decals, binder covers, and other student-created products.

My young scholars will use the heating press machine to get hands-on experiences as to what it takes to possibly be young entrepreneurs while learning financial literacy.

The students will try out a variety of their products on family, friends, and classmates. With the Cricut Maker and the heating press in our possession, this can open up a world of possibilities for our students. To ensure the safety for all, the heating press will be stored at my home during the school year and during the summer. This will also allow me time to practice on products at home with the heating press before students use it. Please help us with our financial literacy lessons.
