My Students

I teach two groups of wonderful first grade students. My students are in the Mandarin Dual Language Program (MDLP), in which they're immersed in Mandarin for half of their school day. Their ability to learn and speak a second language is one of many things that puts a smile on my face every morning.

My students are mostly English language learners from low-income families.

They are curious, hands-on learners who need a lot of visuals, realia, and manipulatives to stay engaged.

My Project

My little first graders are beginning to learn about the world, and are tempted with too many wants. To help my students to begin learning about financial literacy, I need resources to support their learning.

As my students are beginning to develop logical sense rather than acting based on their intuition, it becomes even more critical for them to learn the true meaning of needs and wants.

With the requested EasyPress, I will be able to create personalized materials for my students to use while they learn about financial literacy. Your help will enable me to grow as an educator and help my students learn the basics of financial literacy, beginning with needs and wants.
