This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students live in a low-income neighborhood and they all receive free breakfast and lunch.

Many of them use art as a release of their everyday life. They are super proud of the art that they create. Sometimes sadly they come to tell me that their picture was ruined or a sibling ripped it. I let them make it again but they say that it is not the same.

My Project

I am requesting a extra wide 13" lamination machine. I am also asking for letter and 11x17 size lamination pouches. The lamination helps to keep my student's artwork in the best condition. Many time artwork fades with time, but when you laminate it, the colors stay bright and you can conserve the piece. Their work will be less likely to get ruined.

Lamination gives a clear coat of protection.

My students make awesome works of art and they would be able to preserve them. They have a lot of pride for their work and these supplies would allow for them to keep their masterpieces for a long time and share them with their family. the benefit also extends to their family. They would be able to preserve their child's work when they were in grade school.
