My Students

"Can we play Sight Word Memory or Beginning Sounds Fishing?" These are frequent requests from my kindergarteners. I create many different center games. These games take time to create, and because of their popularity are used daily. We need a laminating machine to preserve our favorite learning games.

My kindergarteners are eager learners who love to play!

What five year old doesn't? :) They are full of energy and never stop asking questions about the world. They come from an underserved neighborhood that is full of caring people who wish the best for their children.

My Project

I am requesting a laminating machine and laminating pouches so I am able to laminate the many different centers I make to engage students in learning. I spend many hours crafting different games such as sight word memory, sight word fishing, matching letter sounds games and many more. The students love to play these games during center time and are engaged in their learning, but it has become very costly to laminate everything I have created. When I give my students the materials without laminating them, the game then becomes old looking and less attractive to my students. I want to be able to preserve my work by laminating it, so it can benefit both my current and future students.

I am a dedicated teacher who spends many hours outside of the classroom working to create learning experiences in which students are engaged in and are learning the skills needed to be successful.
