My students need books and a whiteboard easel for a way to present their ideas and share with the class.

My Students

I serve an amazing group of diverse students! I work at a Title One school and my students often lack the experiences their peers at higher income schools have. My class has several English language learners who face the challenge of learning a new language as well as new academic skills each day.

My students love coming to school, for many it is a safe and predictable place where they can learn new and exciting things.

I want to afford my students opportunities to learn and experience things they may not get to experience at home.

My Project

The Easel will give students the chance to post their work and present it to their peers in front of the class. The books will be resources for science, math, and writing, areas where my students struggle. The books match up to the curriculum we are currently using in our classroom. One of the new units in science is Forces in Motion and since it is new the students do not have many reference materials to access. The inspirational posters will be displayed in the classroom and serve as a reminder that my students are capable of achieving great things!
