Help me give my students colored ink and cardstock paper to make creative project presentations by being able to use colored ink and paper. They also need a cd player to play language CDs for practice.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are middle school and high school students who are mostly of Hispanic and African-American cultures, who live in a low-income area, where they do not get exposed to enough hands-on skills and activities. My students are curious learners. They want hands-on activities that will keep their attention and help them learn academic cooperative and social skills in a fun way. My students are happy and want to have materials that stimulate their minds. Sometimes all it takes is exposure to fun learning processes and activities to open up motivation and a drive to learn more and ask more questions. My students have endless possibilities if given the chance and encouragement.
My Project
The materials that I requested: the colored ink and the cardstock paper will help students when they are printing pictures, graphs, and in their writing projects that they need to look great for presenting to their teachers and classmates. The CD player will help students practice their foreign language skills. Our computers in the library do not have a CD-Rom where students can place a CD into them to practice language skills. This will help prepare them to present in the language they are studying.
Please help my students be better prepared for their presentations so that they may "Nail It" the first time.
I want my students to feel like they can make a great presentation and these materials will help them accomplish that.
